Planned Improvements

Bates Street/ Oakland
PWSA is replacing a 12-inch water main in Bates Street from the Boulevard of the Allies to South Bouquet Street in Oakland. This work is critical due to the history of water line failures affecting business and residents on Bates Street. Waterline work will be completed in 6 phases. Each phase will take approximately six weeks to complete. The contractor will be working Monday through Friday from 7:00 am – 6:00 pm. Final paving will begin when construction work for all phases is completed.
Frederick Street/ Millvale
PWSA will be installing a new 8-inch water main and two new hydrants in Frederick Street in Millvale. The contractor will mobilize Wednesday, October 26, 2011. Work hours will be Monday-Friday from 7:00 am – 5:00 pm. The contractor will be working from 126 Fredrick Street to 19 Frederick Street. Parking may be limited to one side of the street. Work is expected to be completed by the end of January.
