Pittsburgh, PA - The Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority (PWSA) will make final connections to the new 12-inch water main on Ellsworth Avenue in Shadyside.
The PWSA contractor will begin the final connection process Sunday, March 15, 2015, and is expected to be completed by Wednesday, March 18, 2015. The intersection of Ellsworth Avenue and South Negley Avenue will be closed the entire time, except for local traffic and emergency vehicles ONLY. The intersection will reopen during non-working hours. Detour signs will be posted.
Work hours are as follows:
Sunday, March 15, 2015 from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm - daylight hours only
Monday, March 16, 2015 from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am - evening hours only
Tuesday, March 17, 2015 from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am - evening hours only
There will be only one planned interruption of service. The following residents will have NO WATER service from Monday, March 16, 2015, from 7:00 pm until 7:00 am (evening hours only) and are being notified by robo call:
Ellsworth Avenue (Summerlea Street to Myrtle Way)
South Negley Avenue (Elmer Street to Centre Avenue)
This is the last planned interruption of service for this project.
