PWSA WILL REPLACE TWO 6-INCH WATER VALVES ON MT. VERNON STREET IN HOMEWOOD

Pittsburgh, PA - The Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority (PWSA) will be replacing two 6-inch water valves on Mt. Vernon Street in Homewood. 

The PWSA contractor will be working on the first valve tomorrow, Wednesday, April 8, 2015 from 9:00 am until 6:00 pm.  Customers at the following locations will have NO WATER service during that time and are being notified by robo call

  • 7100 block of Mt. Vernon Street, even side only, from N. Lang Avenue to N. Homewood Avenue
  • 1400 block of N. Homewood Avenue from Mt. Vernon Street to Kendron Street.

The PWSA contractor will be working on the second valve on Thursday, April 9, 2015 from 9:00 am until 6:00 pm.  Customers at the following locations will have NO WATER service during that time and are being notified by robo call

  • 7100 block of Mt. Vernon Street, odd side only, from N. Lang Avenue to N. Homewood Aven
  • 1405 and 1407 N. Lang Avenue

A flagger will be on-site both days to maintain traffic.
