PWSA CONTRACTOR WORKS TO FIX DOWNTOWN WATER MAIN BREAK

Pittsburgh, PA - The Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority (PWSA) dispatched a contractor this morning to Seventh Avenue between Smithfield Street and William Penn Place in the Downtown neighborhood of Pittsburgh.  The contractor is working to isolate and repair the break. Two buildings have been impacted and the PWSA has notified their facilities departments.  The PORT Authority of Allegheny County was notified of the emergency work to address any route changes.  The work is anticipated to be complete by 6 p.m. today.
