PWSA WILL MAKE EMERGENCY REPAIRS TO A SEWER ON MAYTIDE STREET AT ROUTE 51 IN CARRICK

Pittsburgh, PA - The Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority (PWSA) will make emergency repairs to a sewer on Maytide Street at Route 51 in Carrick.

The PWSA Contractor will be working tonight, Thursday, July 16, 2015, and tomorrow night, Friday, July 17, 2015, from 7:00 pm until 6:00 am (overnight only). 

The following traffic will be affected during overnight working hours only:

  • The intersection of Maytide Street and Route 51 will be closed.
  • Route 51 will be restricted to single lane traffic from Route 88 (Library Road) to Overbrook Boulevard.
  • Maytide Street between Biscayne Drive and Route 51 will be restricted to local access only.


Traffic control personnel and an off-duty police officer will be on-site at Route 51 and an off-duty police officer will be on-site at Maytide Street and Biscayne Drive.

PWSA services the sewer system only in this area. Customers should contact their water provider if any outages are experienced.
