PWSA RECEIVED APPROVAL TO BEGIN PAVING ON FORBES AVENUE IN OAKLAND

The Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority (PWSA) received confirmation today from PennDOT that the concrete tests passed for the road reconstruction project on Forbes Avenue in Oakland.  Paving will take one full day to complete and requires dry weather; therefore, PWSA is monitoring the weather closely to schedule work as soon as possible.  Although current weather conditions indicate the earliest dry weather occurring early next week, the PWSA contractor is prepared to pave sooner if conditions change.

Once paving is complete, one lane of traffic in each direction will reopen on Forbes Avenue between South Craig Street and Morewood Avenue.  PennDOT approved a revised traffic plan, which will be released when the paving schedule is confirmed.

Any customer who needs additional information should call PWSA Emergency Dispatch 24/7 at 412.255.2423.
