If you’ve ever wondered how rain gardens, rain barrels, gardening choices and other natural solutions can reduce stormwater runoff on your property, then this workshop is for you!

Join Pittsburgh Water and the Penn State Master Watershed Stewards and Penn State Master Gardeners for another installment of our popular Save Water, Save Money Stormwater Workshop.

During the workshop, we’ll discuss:

• Stormwater interventions you can install at home: rain barrels, rain gardens and native plants
• Our local watershed, why mindful gardening matters, infiltration, and runoff
• Pittsburgh Water’s stormwater fee and credit program, the rain barrel credit, and solutions to lower your stormwater fee.
• Pittsburgh Water’s Customer assistance programs and 1-on-1 stormwater issue assistance

While this presentation is very much focused on at-home solutions, you’ll also begin to connect with the benefits that improved stormwater management will provide our neighborhoods, waterways, and the environment.

Parking: Parking is available in the lot in front of the Kingsley Assn; a few spaces in the parking lot in back of the Kingsley Assn; street parking along Paulson Ave; and street parking along East Liberty Boulevard.
