This project, in the Polish Hill neighborhood of the City of Pittsburgh, will replace approximately 1,000 feet of aging water main, providing more reliable water service to our customers. This site was scheduled for replacement after several water main breaks occurred on this portion on Herron Avenue in winter of 2017 and 2018. As part of the main replacement, we will replace all public water service lines, including lead water service lines, with a non-lead material. If a public lead service line is connected to a private lead line, we will replace it at the same time at no cost to the customer.
