31st Ward Sewer Reconstruction Project
This $2.9 million project, taking place in the Lincoln Place neighborhood of the City of Pittsburgh, will line approximately 5 miles of aging sewers, repair broken sewers, relocate storm drains, and separate combined storm and sanitary sewers where needed. Work will be completed at numerous locations throughout the neighborhood and residents will be notified via letter, robocall, door hanger, or a combination of the three, when work may impact them. Lining and repairing these sewers will extend the life of the sewer system and ensure better service to our customers.
Centre Avenue Sewer Replacement
PWSA will relocate the water main on Centre Avenue, between Devonshire Street and Morewood Avenue, in order to access the sewer beneath it. After waterline relocation is complete, crews will make necessary repairs to the sewer.
Fuchsia Way Sewer Reconstruction Project
As part of the 2022 Sewer Reconstruction Program, PWSA will replace the sewer and water mains located within Fuchsia Way as shown in the figure below. The Wilkinsburg-Penn Joint Water Authority (WPJWA) will also replace the water main located within their service area.
M-29 Outfall Improvement Project
We are rehabilitating the 100+ year old M-29 combined sewer outfall and replacing the endwall on the Monongahela River. The project improvements will extend the useful life of the outfall, reduce river flow entering the combined sewer system, and mitigate backups into the Four Mile Run neighborhood.
