2019 Sewer Lining
This project took place throughout our service area, will rehabilitate 4.6 miles of sewers by installing an airtight, watertight lining inside of aging sewer pipes. This work has minimal impact to residents and is a cost-effective way to extend the life of our sewer system. Lining sewers will improve reliability and ensure better service to our customers.
Edgerton Avenue Sewer Relocation Project
This sewer relocation project is in response to a 15-inch sewer collapse in the Point Breeze neighborhood of the City of Pittsburgh. The work includes relocating the collapsed sewer into the edge of the Homewood Cemetery.
Ivyglen and Odette Street Sewer Project
In June of 2018, a landslide washed away an 8-inch sanitary sewer behind Odette Street in the Overbrook neighborhood of the City of Pittsburgh. This project restored normal sanitary sewer service to some customers, installed a new storm sewer as well as new storm drains in the area.
M-29 Outfall Improvement Project
We rehabilitated the 100+ year old M-29 combined sewer outfall and replaced the endwall on the Monongahela River. The project improvements will extend the useful life of the outfall, reduce river flow entering the combined sewer system, and mitigate backups into the Four Mile Run neighborhood.
