31st Ward Sewer Reconstruction Project
This $2.9 million project, taking place in the Lincoln Place neighborhood of the City of Pittsburgh, lined approximately 5 miles of aging sewers, repair broken sewers, relocate storm drains, and separate combined storm and sanitary sewers where needed. Work was completed at numerous locations throughout the neighborhood. Lining and repairing these sewers will extend the life of the sewer system and ensure better service to our customers.
Archive: Four Mile Run Stormwater Project
The initial design of the Four Mile Run Stormwater Project encompassed Schenley Park and several Pittsburgh neighborhoods including Greefield, Hazelwood, Oakland, and Squirrel Hill. The project was planned to capture and route stormwater through a natural channel that will follow the path of the historic streams that formed Four Mile Run from Panther Hollow Lake to the Monongahela River. It will help to reduce combined sewer overflows, basement backups, and neighborhood flooding.
