Woods Run Stormwater Project: Phase One
Riverview Park is a city park located in the Perry North neighborhood. This project will use green stormwater infrastructure and tree plantings in the park to capture rainwater runoff.
Lead Service Line Replacement
We are replacing lead water service lines throughout our service area to reduce exposure to lead in drinking water. To avoid partial lead line replacements, we coordinate with customers to replace private lead service lines at no cost when replacing public lead lines.
Rain Garden at the Aspinwall Water Treatment Plant
In 2014, we converted a highly visible and under-utilized traffic island in front of our water treatment plant in Aspinwall into a rain garden.
Lanpher Rising Main Project
This project will build a new transmission water line, connecting the Water Treatment Plant and the Lanpher Reservoir, located in Shaler Township. The new line will create a backup water feed for the existing Lanpher Rising Main, which is nearly 100 years old. This multi-million dollar, two-year project will ensure reliable water service for one-third of Pittsburgh’s population who live and work in the Northside.
