Lanpher Rising Main Project
This project will build a new transmission water line, connecting the Water Treatment Plant and the Lanpher Reservoir, located in Shaler Township. The new line will create a backup water feed for the existing Lanpher Rising Main, which is nearly 100 years old. This multi-million dollar, two-year project will ensure reliable water service for one-third of Pittsburgh’s population who live and work in the Northside.
Four Mile Run Stormwater Project
The Four Mile Run Stormwater Project encompasses Schenley Park and several Pittsburgh neighborhoods including Garfield, Hazelwood, Oakland, and Squirrel Hill. This project will capture and route stormwater through a natural channel that will follow the path of the historic streams that formed Four Mile Run from Panther Hollow Lake to the Monongahela River. It will help to reduce combined sewer overflows, basement backups, and neighborhood flooding.
Melwood & Finland Stormwater Project
The stormwater improvement project in Polish Hill reduces the risks of uncontrolled runoff by constructing new curb lines, adding additional stormwater inlets, and installing five bioretention features with underground storage.
