Highland Reservoir Pump Station and Rising Main
To modernize our water infrastructure and add redundancy and resiliency throughout our drinking water system, we will construct a new pump station and rising main in Highland Park. These projects will serve the Highland Reservoir service area.
31st Ward Sewer Reconstruction Project
This $2.9 million project, taking place in the Lincoln Place neighborhood of the City of Pittsburgh, lined approximately 5 miles of aging sewers, repair broken sewers, relocate storm drains, and separate combined storm and sanitary sewers where needed. Work was completed at numerous locations throughout the neighborhood. Lining and repairing these sewers will extend the life of the sewer system and ensure better service to our customers.
Planning & Future Projects
When PWSA's water mains, sewer pipes, and treatment facilities reach the end of their life, our team of engineers and project managers get to work designing and building new infrastructure. These projects are called "capital investments," and improve our water and sewer system for the long haul.Planning & Future Projects Overview
Lead Line Replacement Project - Esplen
PWSA will work in portions of Esplen to replace all lead service lines found with a non-lead material.
Lead Line Replacement Project - Hazelwood
PWSA will work in portions of Hazelwood to replace all lead service lines found with a non-lead material.
Garfield Avenue Waterline Replacement Project
This project, in the Central Northside neighborhood of the City of Pittsburgh, will replace approximately 400 feet of aging water main, providing more reliable water service to our customers. This site was scheduled for replacement after several water main breaks occurred over the past year. As part of the main replacement, we will replace all lead service lines found with a non-lead material.
