In partnership with the City of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh Water is planning a stormwater improvements project in the Perry South neighborhood at Fowler Park .
Progress & Status
Guided by the City of Pittsburgh’s 2023 Fowler Park Plan, the project aims to utilize park space to manage stormwater while also creating a safer, greener, and more accessible park
Components:
- Underground stormwater storage system below parking lot
- Rain garden
- Improved pedestrian access, ADA access, lighting, signage, and seating
The design phase of this project is underway and is estimated to be complete in 2026.

Fowler Park in Perry South, lower parking lot area near North Charles Street and Kimberlin Street
