Join us to discuss proposed green space projects in Lincoln-Lemington-Belmar.
Pittsburgh Water and the Department of City Planning are partnering with the Lincoln-Lemington Collaborative, the Lincoln-Lemington Community Consensus Group, Upstream, Ethos Collaborative, and WaterNow to develop plans for stormwater projects on vacant land in Lincoln-Lemington-Belmar.
Two site concept plans have been developed:
- A new walking path and stormwater infrastructure connecting Gladefield St to Chadwick Park
- A rain garden with space for community use at Lincoln Ave and Deary St
Join us to review the concept plans and share your input on what we've gotten right and what you'd like to see change in the final designs.
Refreshments will be provided!
Virtual participation is also available; after registering online, you will receive a Zoom link with your confirmation email.
About the Project
Rain Reclaim: Vacant Lots to Green Stormwater Infrastructure is a new pilot program that supports equitable, community-driven investment in low-income neighborhoods affected by flooding and combined sewer overflows. By putting vacant, underutilized spaces to work with green stormwater infrastructure, the program helps to reduce urban flooding, improve water quality, and provide multiple community and environmental benefits in areas that have historically experienced limited investment.
