Homeowner & Business Owner Flood Education Workshop

Wednesday, May 25, 2022
5:00 - 7:00 PM
Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh - Homewood (& Virtual)

Do you have questions such as: How do I protect my home or business from flooding in the first place?  What can I do to get back into my house after it has flooded? What kinds of help is available if I can’t do it on my own?

Join the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Allegheny County Conservation District (ACCD), PA Dept. of Environmental Protection (PA DEP), PA Emergency Management Agency (PEMA), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and Pittsburgh Water & Sewer Authority (PWSA) for a workshop to learn how to prepare, mitigate, and recover from flooding.

Also, gain awareness of the resources available to you as a homeowner or business owner, and other important information to empower yourself and the people you care about before and after a flood.

The session will be on Wednesday, May 25 from 5-7 pm at the Carnegie Library, Homewood Branch.

In-person registration is limited to 30 seats; a virtual viewing option will be available for additional participants.

Following the event, the video recording will be posted on the Pennsylvania Silver Jackets website.
