Volunteers Field is a city park located in the Carrick neighborhood. Its ballfields provide an opportunity to manage stormwater through regrading and better drainage.
Progress & Status
This project is one of several stormwater improvement projects happening in Saw Mill Run as part of the larger Saw Mill Run Integrated Watershed Management Plan. Managing and capturing stormwater in the park will help to reduce sediment and improve water quality throughout Saw Mill Run.
Phase Two: Ballfield Regrading
- This project will regrade Ballfields 1 and 2 to redirect stormwater away from the infield.
- These improvements will help decrease field flooding and sediment erosion into the storm sewers.
