2020 Water Main Replacement - Brighton Heights

This project, in the Brighton Heights neighborhood of the City of Pittsburgh, will replace portions of water mains on five streets, providing more reliable water service to our customers.

PWSA hosted a community meeting Thursday, July 16th, to discuss the details of the project. The PowerPoint is available here.

Crews will replace water mains on the following streets, respectively: 

  • Massachusetts Avenue - ACTIVE
    • (Orchlee - Termon) - water main is being constructed
    • (Orchlee- Davis) - new water main is being pressure-tested
    • (Davis-Falck) - service lines are being installed
  • Falck Avenue - ACTIVE
    • Water main is being pressure tested
  • Fleming Avenue - ACTIVE
    • New water main is being pressure tested
  • Hubbard Street - ACTIVE
    • New water main is being pressure tested
  • Sipe Street - ACTIVE
    • Water main is being constructed

Crews will begin by verifying services line material.

Start Date: June 29, 2020

Completion Date: Fall 2020

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday from 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Traffic Patterns: Street will remain closed to traffic during working hours.
