2020 Water Main Replacement - South Side Slopes

This project, in the Brighton Heights neighborhood of the City of Pittsburgh, will replace portions of water mains on several streets, providing more reliable water service to our customers.

Progress & Status

Construction Complete

Water main replacements will take place on the following streets, respectively: 

  • Industry Street - ACTIVE
    • Water main installation on Industry Street is complete. Crews will install new service lines in the coming weeks. 
  • Mount Oliver Street - ACTIVE
    • Approximately 160 feet of water main has been installed on Mt. Oliver Street. Crews will continue to coordinate any needed lead service line replacements. 
  • Loyal Way - ACTIVE
    • Approximately 400 feet of water main has been installed on Loyal Way. Verifications of service line material continue.
  • Saint Patrick Street 
  • Gable Street 
  • Crossman Street 
  • Magdalene Street 
  • Saint Leo Street 
  • Oporto Street 
  • Roscoe Street
  • Monastery Street
  • South 18th Street
  • Monastery Place
  • Nusser Street
  • Angelo Street
  • St. Thomas Street

Location Details:
South Side Slopes

Start Date: June 2020

Completion Date: September 2020

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday from 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Traffic Patterns: The street will be closed to local traffic during working hours and will be plated and re-opened at the end of the work day.
