Four Mile Run Stormwater Project
The Four Mile Run Stormwater Project encompasses Schenley Park and several Pittsburgh neighborhoods including Garfield, Hazelwood, Oakland, and Squirrel Hill. This project will capture and route stormwater through a natural channel that will follow the path of the historic streams that formed Four Mile Run from Panther Hollow Lake to the Monongahela River. It will help to reduce combined sewer overflows, basement backups, and neighborhood flooding.
Highland Park Rising Main and Pump Station
To modernize our water infrastructure and add redundancy and resiliency throughout our drinking water system, we will construct a new pump station and rising main in Highland Park. These projects will serve the Highland Reservoir service area.
Highland II Reservoir: Liner and Cover Replacement
The Highland II Reservoir Liner and Cover Replacement includes the demolition and removal of the existing liner and cover and installation of a new reservoir liner, floating cover, and supplemental equipment such as the rainwater removal pumps and associated piping on the floating cover.
Lanpher Rising Main Project
This project will build a new transmission water line, connecting the Water Treatment Plant and the Lanpher Reservoir, located in Shaler Township. The new line will create a backup water feed for the existing Lanpher Rising Main, which is nearly 100 years old. This multi-million dollar, two-year project will ensure reliable water service for one-third of Pittsburgh’s population who live and work in the Northside.
