31st Ward Sewer Reconstruction Project
This $2.9 million project, taking place in the Lincoln Place neighborhood of the City of Pittsburgh, will line approximately 5 miles of aging sewers, repair broken sewers, relocate storm drains, and separate combined storm and sanitary sewers where needed. Work will be completed at numerous locations throughout the neighborhood and residents will be notified via letter, robocall, door hanger, or a combination of the three, when work may impact them. Lining and repairing these sewers will extend the life of the sewer system and ensure better service to our customers.
Fifth and Forbes Water Main Replacement Project
This project - spanning across the Central Business District, Uptown, and Oakland - will replace over two miles of water mains on Forbes Avenue and Fifth Avenue. As part of this work, we will replace any lead service lines found while replacing the water mains.
M-29 Outfall Improvement Project
We are rehabilitating the 100+ year old M-29 combined sewer outfall and replacing the endwall on the Monongahela River. The project improvements will extend the useful life of the outfall, reduce river flow entering the combined sewer system, and mitigate backups into the Four Mile Run neighborhood.
Maryland Avenue Stormwater Improvement Project
The Maryland Avenue Stormwater Improvement Project will use cost-effective green stormwater solutions throughout Shadyside to reduce runoff entering the combined sewer system. These stormwater solutions will be constructed within the public right of way (public streets and sidewalks).
