Four Mile Run Stormwater Project
The Four Mile Run Stormwater Project encompasses Schenley Park and several Pittsburgh neighborhoods including Garfield, Hazelwood, Oakland, and Squirrel Hill. This project will capture and route stormwater through a natural channel that will follow the path of the historic streams that formed Four Mile Run from Panther Hollow Lake to the Monongahela River. It will help to reduce combined sewer overflows, basement backups, and neighborhood flooding.
Lawn & Ophelia Stormwater Project
The Lawn and Ophelia Parklet is a city-owned park located in the South Oakland neighborhood of Pittsburgh. This stormwater project will help to manage 1.5 inches of rain from 1.86 acres of impervious surface.
Martin Luther King Jr./Warren K. Branch Park Stormwater Project
We are planning to install underground storage tanks below the park to hold stormwater runoff from uphill areas then slowly release the water into the sewer system after rainstorms.
